Beginning in 1997, the Master Gardeners have used this plant sale as it’s primary fund raising event. Over the years, it has grown, beginning on the parking lot of the Cole County Extension, utilizing Donnie Schneiders’ greenhouse to grow tomatoes and vegetables. In 2007, the Master Gardeners, with the help of community businesses, built a greenhouse on City land made available after the 1993 flood of Cedar City. The greenhouse allowed the sale to double in size requiring the larger facility at the fairgrounds.
